DETAILED ITINERARY (via Shimla)*

1. Day - 0

Departure from Delhi

Today, we depart from Delhi in the evening for Shimla, via overnight bus (volvo). 

​

2. Day - 1

Shimla to Kalpa

We reach Shimla by morning, and transfer to the tempo for our onward journey to Kalpa.

After check-in in the evening, we conduct a briefing session for the forthcoming journey, and a discussion class on basics of camera, followed by dinner.

3. Day - 2

Kalpa to Kaza

We will conduct a photowalk in the morning and then start our Spiti Valley Photography Tour by departing for Kaza post breakfast. 

We explore different picturesque locations (including Tabo) on our way and practice image-making.

On arrival in Kaza, we head towards our hotel/ homestay, and thereafter proceed for dinner.

4. Day - 3

Tashigong, Chicham and Kye

Today early morning after a light breakfast, we depart for Tashigong. Afterwards, we explore the beauty of Chicham. We later proceed towards Kye Monastery.

We return to the hotel/ homestay in the evening and conduct a review session, followed by dinner.

5. Day - 4

Hikkim, Komic and Langza

Today early morning after breakfast, we visit Hikkim followed by Komic (world’s highest village). 

Later in the evening, we visit Langza. Afterwards, we return to the hotel/ homestay in Kaza, and proceed for dinner.

6. Day - 5

Dhankar and Nako

After breakfast, we head towards Dhankar where we visit Dhankar Monastery. 

In the afternoon, we move towards Nako. 

In the evening, we check-in to our hotel/ homestay in Nako and conduct a review-session. 

At the end of the session, we proceed for dinner.

​7. Day - 6

Sarahan 

Today, after an early morning breakfast, we proceed towards Sarahan.

After check-in at night, we will proceed for dinner.

 

8. Day - 7

Towards Shimla

We leave for Shimla after breakfast and reach by afternoon. 

We take the evening/ night bus for Delhi.

9. Day - 8

Arrival in Delhi 

Arrival in Delhi. Our Spiti Photography Tour ends.

* We reserve the right to amend the itinerary at a later date, on account of factors like road closure, weather conditions, government restrictions, etc.  

CAMERA EQUIPMENT

  1. DSLR/ Mirrorless Camera/ Mobile Phones. 

  2. Standard/ wide angle lens/ kit lens. Zoom lens is optional.

  3. Tripod (for astro-photography).

  4. Spare SD Cards, extra batteries for camera, battery charger.

  5. Laptops, if possible, for review sessions.

Inclusions & Exclusions

INCLUSIONS

  1. Travel Photography Workshop (theory, practical shoots with personal guidance).

  2. Image selection and discussion sessions.

  3. Problem solving sessions with focus on improvement areas, strengths, and weaknesses.

  4. Accommodation on twin sharing basis

EXCLUSIONS

  1. Lunch meals.

  2. Meals in restaurants/ cafés and refreshments.

  3. Personal expenses like shopping, driver tips, entry fees to monasteries, etc.

  4. Anything not mentioned above in Itinerary/ Inclusions.

  5. Costs on account of unforeseen circumstances such as natural calamities and government restrictions.

PAYMENT  MILESTONES

  1. 50% of the cost must be paid by May 10, 2025.

  2. Balance cost must be paid by May 20, 2025.

CANCELLATION  POLICY

  1. For cancellation requests received before May 24, 2025, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.

  2. For cancellation requests received after May 24, 2025, 100% cancellation fee will be charged.

  3. If due to any unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain changes are made to the itinerary, Light Bud will provide an alternate location. However, no refund will be provided for such change.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Full and final payment of the trip cost must be completed by the dates set out in Payment Milestones. 

  2. Please carry government approved photo-IDs before commencement of the tour. 

  3. Students shall be responsible for their camera equipment and other belongings. Light Bud shall not be responsible for any damage or any missing items during the photo-tour.

  4. Light Bud shall not refund money towards inclusions which are not availed by customers. 

  5. Students are requested to abide by the timings during the trip, as our Photography Trips to Spiti have been designed keeping in mind lighting conditions. 

  6. Our drivers shall have discretion on use of air conditioners during trips to hilly areas, and shall decide on use of AC's considering safety & ease of travel.

  7. Light Bud shall not tolerate any misbehaviour on its tours and reserves the right to take appropriate action, which may include verbal warnings, or removal from the tour at the student's own expense.

  8. Light Bud's Photography Tours to Spiti are in hilly areas with treacherous routes where there may be risk of accidents, loss of life, bodily injury, financial consequences, etc. Neither Light Bud nor its affiliates shall be responsible or liable for any of the above mentioned risks and possibilities.

  9. In case any student/ participant sustains any injury/illness during the tour, external evacuation/ transport services may be required. Any additional cost in this regard shall be borne by the student/ participant or his/her family.

  10. The photos/videos content created on our photo-tours can be used by Light Bud for advertising.
